St. Michael's takes safeguarding very seriously - safeguarding of both children and vulnerable adults.

Posters are displayed in the church and church hall explaining the safeguarding procedures.

Young Church takes place at 10:15 on Sundays in the Church Hall. There's fun and games, activities and a memory verse. We join everyone else in the church building at about 11:15.

On the second Sunday of the month (usually) we are all in the church building for the All-Age service. This focuses on the memory verse - and we sometimes challenge the adults to test us!

Contact Simon Bentley for further details.

Praise Parties take place on the first Sunday of the month between 4pm and 5:30pm in the Church Hall. They're for all ages from 0 upwards, and are a mixture of song, story, crafts and games. Great fun - come along!

Contact Simon Bentley for further details.

All-Age Worship is on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 10:15. It's led by the children, young people and their leaders. It's interactive and great fun!

Christmas Party for Youth Café leaders and helpers

Some of the youth acting as waiting (and entertaining) staff at the Christmas Party for Youth Café leaders

As a thank you to the large team of leaders and helpers, Youth Café threw a magnificent party for them. A three-course meal (prepared by Adam and Claire Collishaw - thank you to them, too!) was served by members of Youth Café, all dressed up in their best silver-service outfits! And the guests turned up in the finery as well. All in all, a terrific occasion that made all the leaders and helpers feel truly valued.

A big thank you to Simon for organising the evening.

Soul Survivor

Soul Survivor 2016
Ethan, Sam, Sophia, George and Matt at Soul Survivor July 2016

Soul Survivor run events that encourage and equip young people in their relationship with Jesus. A group of youth from St. Michael's as well as St. Helen's Stapleford and Christ Church Chilwell camped at the Staffordshire Showground in uly 2016 - see some the gang to the left. In February 2017 several youth went to a Soul Survivor event in Watford - amazing to see over 1,000 youth crammed into the building, all worshipping Jesus!
